In roleplaying news, the plot thickens! Marla the healer has befriended the dragon, Nephtys, and is planning to help her escape the wrath of Galtix. Both armies must devise their battle strategies and gather their troops soon, because eventually someone will be ready to make the first move.

Galtix stood at the door of a dungeon cell, hands clasped together. "Well, look what we have here." The large hand that clutched the dragon tossed her into the cell before which Galtix stood. "Good magical hand," said Galtix, and released the spell keeping it present. The hand disappeared into a cloud of smoke. "So..." Galtix said with a sigh. "Look who's back. Well, this will be your new home for a while, so you'd better get comfortable. You will recieve three lovely deer a day, and training periods will be between meals, then sleep. Enjoy your stay."

Nephtys was furious by now, her tail lashing dangerously and her eyes focused on him. "I should enjoy my stay? I take it my caretaker won't be Wakei again?" Her scales shone dimly in the darkness of the dungeon as she bristled draconically, scales rising and falling in waves. "Or will I be..." Her eyes were slitted now with hatred. "your pet?" Her claws methodically grasped the stones beneath her, grating as she tightened in a practiced move. The effect was rather intimidating, sparks flying from the friction and the screech of claws on stone. The dragon would have been more satisfied if it had been Galtix's body she was destroying, not the floor. Her whole being emanated killing intent.
Galtix eyed the dragon carefully. "No, you won't be a pet. Simply a warrior, like the others. Same training regiment as everyone else. Well, the dragon version anyway."

The dragon opened her mouth, exposing large ivory fangs. "Simply a warrior? I thought that after that fiasco, you would at least keep an eye on me. I was wrong... You are lazy, Galtix."
"Don't get me wrong, you're a special asset to the team. And personally I blame Wakei for that fiasco, as you say." Galitx grinned evilly. He summoned the guard who was to keep an eye on Nephtys. "Think of her as your treasure. Don't let her out of your sight, or someone else might get at her."

Nephtys eyed the guard with contempt. "Treasure? I doubt it." She unfurled her wings with a clap, glaring at him. "My scales may glitter, but I am not a tool, weapon or slave. I will not fight, no matter what!"
"You say that now," the guard said with a laugh. He stepped into the cell, intent on chaining her to the ground. He grasped the chains tightly, moving to attach her to the floor.

The dragon didn't bother moving back, instead flapping her wings to stir the air. Dust rose from the corners of the cell, flying everywhere. As this happened, she slid forward, one paw raised, claws ready to impale the guard.

The dragon ignored him, enjoying the fear that the guard reeked of. "Those chains won't be any use to you now." she taunted. Bloodlust made her eyes flash with malice, and for once, she didn't care about needless consequences.
The guard scrambled from the cell, closing the gate quickly. The sleeve of his right arm was shredded, revealing an ugly gash. The floor of the cell wasn't exactly a bed of roses, and when he fell, something sharp stabbed into his arm. The guard collapsed, gasping for air. His arm hurt so badly he though he would be sick. He found himself in a ball at Galtix's feet. Galtix's eyes smouldered in rage. "Away with you!" he yelled, and sent a blast of dark energy at the guard, sending him flying across the floor and into the far wall. "As for you," he said, turning to Nephtys, "I suppose I'll have to get those chains on myself." Tendrils of darkness sprung from his hands, twisting around the dragon's hind foot and attaching to the ground. The magic was even stronger than any metal. "Sweet dreams," he whispered, bidding the beast goodnight.

Nephtys flinched as the tendrils bound themselves around her hind foot. She roared defiantly and walked a far as the tendrils would allow, folding her wings and curling up. Her white scales, unmarred by dust, still glimmered, and she prepared herself to sleep. But after causing a wound and nearly reaching bloodlust, the dragon could hardly sleep. Her body twitched, claws scraping the stone loudly, fangs snapping at air. Her scales bristled and her tail thudded against the dungeon wall several times, making a very large racket.
